Phosphorylation of p38 was detected by immunoblot on cell lysates using antibodies specific to the phosphorylated form of p38 (upper panels). Equal loading of cell lysates was determined by immunoblotting with antibodies raised against total p38. Lower panels show the quantification of p38 bands.
