Prof Jan Lötvall
Jan Lötvall is currently Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine, and Chairman of the Krefting Research Centre at University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
All fields of respiratory medicine are showing explosive development at this time, and it is a pleasure and honour to function as an Editor of a key journal in this exciting field. My own research focus is to study asthma from a clinical and translational angle, to try to understand the mechanisms of phenotypes and endotypes of this complex disease. Indeed, we are beginning to understand that most respiratory disorders have diverse biological functions, and therefore clinical translational research is a priority for the journal.
