Prof Lewis J. Rubin

Professor Emeritus of Medicine and Director Emeritus of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, Professor Rubin's career focus has been the pulmonary circulation and cardiopulmonary interrelationships, and he has been involved in both basic and clinical research in this field for over 30 years. He has served on the Editorial Boards of several journals, including the Annals of Internal Medicine and Journal of the American College of Cardiology (Senior Consulting Editor), and as a peer reviewer for over 30 scientific journals. Professor Rubin has publsihed over 230 peer-reviewed papers and edited 6 books on the pulmonary circulation. Among honors he has received are the Dickinson Richards Award from the American Heart Association, the Simon Dack Award from the American College of Cardiology, and Honorary Fellowship in the Royal College of Physicians, United Kingdom.
